1. Controller

The controller within the meaning of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is:

2. General principles

We process personal data only to the extent necessary to run a working website, deliver our content and services, and perform contracts with you, always on a lawful basis. The specific legal basis under Art. 6 GDPR is stated against each purpose below.

3. Providing the website and server log files

Every time our website is accessed, our hosting provider automatically logs technical data your browser transmits: IP address (shortened/pseudonymised where possible), date and time of the request, page requested, browser and operating system, referrer URL.

Purpose: technically correct delivery of the site, and system security and stability. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in a secure, functioning website). Retention: log files are automatically deleted after typically 7, at most 14, days, unless a security incident requires longer retention as evidence.

4. Hosting

The site is hosted by Data Ouest Hébergement SAS, 12 rue des Frères Lumière, 44300 Nantes, France, which processes the technical data above on our behalf under a data-processing agreement (Art. 28 GDPR).

5. Cookies and local storage

We use cookies and comparable storage technologies (local storage, session storage), some strictly necessary, others only with your consent. Details on individual items — purpose, provider, duration — are in our Cookie Policy. Non-essential cookies load only after you accept them in the consent banner; you can change your choice at any time via “Cookie settings” in the footer.

6. Contact and booking form

When you use our contact or booking form, we process what you enter: name, work email, phone (optional), company, the service you’re interested in, and your message/project details.

Purpose: handling and answering your enquiry, preparing a proposal or a kickoff call. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (pre-contractual measures taken at your request). Retention: if your enquiry does not lead to a contract, we delete the data no later than 6 months after the last contact. If a contract results, the retention periods in section 7 apply.

7. Cart and checkout

When you add packages to your cart and go through checkout, we process: cart contents, contact details, billing address, an optional intra-EU VAT number, and project details (preferred kickoff window, current site URL, notes, working language). Your cart is stored locally in your browser (pmc-cart-v1), your checkout progress in your session (pmc-checkout-v1) — payment fields are never stored, not even temporarily.

Purpose: concluding and fulfilling the contract for the booked service, and invoicing. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (performance of a contract) for order data; Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR (legal obligation) for the subsequent tax/accounting retention. Retention: invoicing and accounting data is kept under French statutory periods — 10 years from the close of the financial year for accounting records (Art. L. 123-22 of the French Commercial Code) and 6 years for tax records (Art. L. 102 B of the French Tax Procedures Code).

8. Google Analytics 4

Only if you explicitly accept the “Analytics” (“Mesure d’audience”) category in the cookie banner do we run Google Analytics 4, a web-analytics service of Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland (“Google”). Google Analytics uses cookies and comparable technologies to analyse your use of the site (pages viewed, time on page, technical device data, approximate location from IP address). Google shortens the IP address within the EU/EEA before any transfer to the US; any such transfer to Google LLC (USA) takes place, if at all, on the basis of the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.

Purpose: aggregated, statistical analysis of site usage to improve our content and services. No data is shared with ad networks; no ad targeting. Legal basis: exclusively Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR (your consent), together with Art. 82 of French law n° 78-17 of 6 January 1978 as amended (Loi Informatique et Libertés) for setting the cookie. Without your consent, Google Analytics loads no script and no cookie at all. Retention: Google Analytics’ configured retention for user and event data is 14 months; the associated cookies (_ga, _ga_<container-id>) expire after 2 years. See the Cookie Policy for detail. Withdrawal: you can withdraw consent at any time, with future effect, via “Cookie settings” in the footer (Art. 7(3) GDPR); Google Analytics then stops loading.

9. Fonts

Every typeface we use (Fraunces, Archivo, IBM Plex Mono) is self-hosted. We make no connection to Google Fonts or any other third-party font provider — no data is transmitted to a third party for this purpose when you load our pages.

10. Recipients and processors

Beyond our hosting provider (section 4) and, once you consent, Google (section 8), we do not pass your data to third parties, unless legally required to (e.g. to tax authorities) or you have expressly consented.

11. Your rights

Under the GDPR and the Loi Informatique et Libertés you have the right to:

  • Access (Art. 15 GDPR) the data we hold about you,
  • Rectification (Art. 16 GDPR) of inaccurate data,
  • Erasure (Art. 17 GDPR), where no statutory retention obligation applies,
  • Restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR),
  • Data portability (Art. 20 GDPR) for data you provided to us,
  • Object (Art. 21 GDPR) to processing based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR,
  • Withdraw any consent given (Art. 7(3) GDPR) at any time and without giving a reason, with future effect — e.g. via “Cookie settings” in the footer,
  • Give directives on the fate of your personal data after your death, general or specific (Art. 85 of the Loi Informatique et Libertés), which you can send us at support@profitmakercopywriting.com,
  • Lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR) — in France, the Commission Nationale de l’Informatique et des Libertés (CNIL), 3 Place de Fontenoy, TSA 80715, 75334 Paris Cedex 07, cnil.fr.

12. Data security

We use technical and organisational measures to protect your data against accidental or deliberate alteration, loss, destruction or unauthorised access, including encrypted transmission (TLS/HTTPS) across every page of this website.

13. Changes to this policy

We update this policy whenever the applicable law, the website, or our data processing changes. The version published on this page at the time of your visit applies.
